Progress

I’m now nine months in to writing the trans and non-binary guide to good mental health!

I signed my contract in early November 2019 and started writing in earnest in January 2020, after taking time to wrap my head around what I had to do (plus celebrate the holidays). Although my productivity took a hit due to COVID-19-related existentialism in March, I’ve been working as consistently as I can and genuinely enjoying myself as I do so!

I also wanted to take more time to research and read around the subject to make the book the best that it can be, so I asked my publishers (Jessica Kingsley) for an extension. It was granted, which means I’m now submitting the book on the 30th of April 2021. That means I’ve got about eight months left to fully finish writing the book.

Writing the guide has been a lot of fun so far, even when it’s been difficult. I’ve made what I think is excellent progress on the book and I’ve had good feedback on what’s already done. I can’t wait for you to read the whole thing!

This is usually where I put the links to my Patreon and my tip jar. If you liked reading this piece of writing, please consider donating to this amazing fund instead! It helps Black people in the UK access free therapy.
