Rest

There’s no big blog post this Saturday because I’m taking some time off to rest and celebrate this weekend. I’d usually feel bad about this, but it’s been such a busy end of December for me and mine – plus, feeling frantic about rest periods is something I’m gently trying to unlearn. Both of my parents are recovering in hospital (my Mum with one less kidney, and my Step-Dad finally with one working one); my little sister is also in hospital, nearly ready to have her baby; my favourite holiday passed in a flurry of love and sprouts; and I finally put a ring on it, ‘it’ being my girlfriend L’s ring finger.

While I take my well-deserved break and commit myself to doing sweet FA, make sure you go steady, take your meds, and eat some delicious food! I’ll be back with careful and nourishing goal-setting tips in January. ๐Ÿ–ค๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ–ค

  1. Dude, that’s a lot of modern medicine. I’m glad to see it working out well for you and yours. Let’s keep that up.
Nice ring. I like the simple Victorian style. I think the black stone really makes it, or is it a really dark sapphire? Either way, may I come to your wedding? I probably won’t make it because I lack funds for travel and no way in Hell would I get Cathy on board for a transatlantic flight. Still, it would be cool to be on the list.
OK. Meds, check! Food, check! Steady on ’til January, Aye aye , Captain!

    1. Everyone’s managed to escape from hospital for the time being, which I’m glad about! Thank you.
The ring is black gold with ethical diamonds and a dark-ish blue sapphire. If you can make it to Whitby in the Summer of 2021 then of course you can come!
Stay the course and have a fab NYE!
